You are invited to complete a short survey about stress management. This project is being conducted by Lydia Fasteland and David Norris, graduate students in the MLIS program at St. Catherine University.
The purpose of this survey is to determine if the ability to maintain control in a student’s life affects their overall stress levels. The survey includes items about stress and the level of control you feel you have in your life. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. For the purposes of this survey, "stress" is defined (according to the American Psychological Association) as an "emotional experience accompanied by predictable biochemical, physiological and behavioral changes."
Your responses to this survey will be anonymous and results will be presented in a way that no one will be identifiable. Confidentiality will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used. Specifically, no guarantees can be made regarding the interception of data sent via the Internet by any third parties.
Your decision whether or not to participate will not affect your relationships (if any) with the researchers, the instructors, or with St. Catherine University. If you decide to stop at any time you may do so. If you have any questions about this project, please contact Lydia Fasteland at
lbfasteland@stkate.edu or David Norris at

Thank you in advance for your time and participating in our survey.
