Project Joy! is the People to People program that provides holiday gifts to more than 1,400 children from low-income Rockland County families who regularly rely on our food pantry to put food on the table. The holidays should be a time of celebration, of hope and joy when beautiful memories are made with our family. Yet, for many of our neighbors in need, the holidays bring extra financial pressure and difficulty as parents struggle to make the holidays special for their children. This program provides an opportunity for you to help
by sponsoring a family for the holidays to support struggling families in our community.
Thank you for helping People to People make the holidays joyous for our neighbors in need! HOW IT WORKS:
Fill out the form below indicating your preferences for the child or children you would like to sponsor.
People to People will call you with details about the family or families who best match your preferences. We will not select a family with more children than you request to sponsor.
Once confirmed, we will email you the letter written by the parent and the Wishlist from each child you agreed to sponsor. Purchase the holiday stockings, small gifts and gift card(s) of at least $50 for each child.
Deliver the holiday gifts and gift cards to People to People on one of the dates below:
Friday, December 5th from 9:00am to 6:00pm
Saturday, December 6th from 11:00am to 3:00pm
Sunday, December 7th from 11:00am to 3:00pm Contact Sharon Mellis at
