2026 - 2027 Dance Season
September 7, 2026 - May 7, 2027
Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Beginner and all levels of dance experience welcome, from 3 years old to adult! You don't have to be Ukrainian to dance with us! A two-week free trial will be held in September.
- Zirka (Star) age 3 to 7 - Tuesdays 5:40 - 6:10 PM
- Veselka (Rainbow) age 8 to 11 - Tuesdays 6:15 - 7:30 PM
- Druzi (Friends) age 11 to 15 - Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:55 PM
- Tryzub (Trident) age 16 to 18* - Mondays 5:30 - 7:30 PM
- Tropak (Brisk Allegro Dance) age 16+* - Wednesdays 7:00 - 8:30 PM
- Viter (Wind) all ages - Wednesdays 8:30 - 9:30 PM
Please Note: Age categories listed per class are an average or recommended age, placement of dancers will be determined by the instructor and your class time may be adjusted following registration.
*Placement within these groups (Tryzub and Tropak) will be decided upon based on ability, commitment and try-outs. Please see the Troyanda Constitution for further information.
Our instructors highly recommend that dancers take ballet classes through Dance Innovations or Extravadance to support their Ukrainian Dance skills.
Fees and Payments
Dance fees typically range from $200 - $380 annually depending on age group and placement:
- Zirka - $200 (1-2 competitions, 1-2 dances)
- Veselka - $300 (2 competitions, 2 dances)
- Druzi - $350 (2-3 competitions, 3 dances)
- Tryzub - $380 (2-3 competitions, 5 dances)
- Tropak - $350 (2-3 competitions, dances TBD)
- Viter - $280 (competitions & dances by request)
Note: Number of competitions and dances subject to change.
Performance costumes are provided; however there will be an additional costume rental and competition fees later in the season. These costs vary depending on the number of dances a dancer is in. For an approximate budget of these costs, please ask one of our board members.
Payments can be sent by e-transfer to yorktontroyanda@gmail.com prior to the start of classes. If you require a payment plan, please reach out, we are happy to work with you!
***Families in Saskatchewan may also be eligible for funding through Creative Kids Saskatchewan, which helps offset the cost of arts programming: https://creativekidssask.ca/ This can include full or partial coverage of annual registration fees, costume rental, and purchased dance shoes/attire.***
Performance and Events
Our groups typically participate in:
- Travria Dance Competition (March 18-22, 2027)
- Kalyna Dance Festival (April 30 - May 2, 2027)
- Older groups may attend an additional competition, to be decided amongst their group
Additional Events:
- Christmas Cheer - Early to mid December 2026
- Malanka - January 9, 2027
- Spring Showcase - May 8, 2027
Fundraising and Volunteering
Family support through volunteering is an important part of making our club successful. It also helps keep fees affordable to support our programming. Families are asked to participate in 2 fundraisers and 2 social events throughout the season.
We require a fund raising bond of $100 per student (maximum of $200 per family). We will have multiple easy opportunities for families to volunteer and/or fundraise to decrease/zero their bond. If a family has not completed their fundraising commitment, the bond on file will be processed at the end of the year (cheque or e-transfer).
