KCT Youth Board Member / Intern Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for a position as a Kids Coming Together (KCT) Youth Board Member / Intern. The Youth Board will be made up of about 15-20 high school students who work together to run KCT under the supervision of an adult area leader. A Youth Board Member (YBM) / Intern must be highly dedicated and be willing and able to contribute at least 10 volunteer hours to the organization each month. The YBM / Interns will meet for an hour every week and are expected to attend a minimum of 3 events per month. In addition, YBM / Interns will be asked to participate in other ways to run KCT such as: update social media, make power points, give presentations, plan events, lead events, marketing, promotions, flyer distribution, etc. We plan to have a Sammamish Youth Board and we are exploring having a Youth Board for Redmond, Kirkland, or Issaquah. We have been approached to consider other area's (Duval, for example) so please do apply if you are from another area. The application process will be divided into two main components: 1. Completion of this written survey and 2. a formal interview with a panel made up of current KCT board members. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, positive, self-motivated and willing to learn and contribute to the success of the organization. All YBM should have an interest in helping younger kids in the community, youth mental wellness, business, management, marketing, website management or running a non-profit.

We will be adapting the Youth Board Officer Positions based on the interest and skills of the applications. It's likely we will have the following Officer positions - President, Vice President, Secretary, Event Planner, Marketing, Inventory/Transportation, Fundraising, Webmaster, and Communications. We expect that about 6 to 9 of the Youth Board Members will hold officer positions. Officer position do require a bigger commitment level as more responsibility and trust will be placed on those officers. Officers will be expected to volunteer an average of 15 or more hours per month.

We are able to accommodate YBM / Interns who will need to take a leave of absence for travel, a sports season, a drama production or some other extra curricular activity. Please make note of what time period you will need to reduce your commitment to KCT.
