Complete the application form online by February 13 at 11:59 PM (EST).
Write and submit a one-page essay on the topic, “Why I want to be an Ohio State Officer.”
Submit a current resume.
Submit a professional headshot for the voting ballot, and the website if elected.
Will be interviewed via the computer using Google Hangouts prior to March 6, 2018.
Receive the recommendation of his/her current FBLA adviser and high school principal via a recommendation letter.
Upload the Adviser Certification Form from the SLC 2019 Folder in the State/National Officer Application Section
Will be interviewed via the computer using Google Hangouts prior to February 28.
Prepare a campaign display for the State Leadership Conference for students and voting delegates to view. Be sure to follow the campaign display guidelines.
Make him/herself visible at the campaign booth during the "Meet the Candidates" events and at various conference locations to answer questions from the membership.
Prepare and present a campaign speech at the State Leadership Conference. A two-minute timeframe will be observed during the conference for the nominator and the candidate (two minutes total between the two). A current state officer may not be the nominator. You will need to submit your speech by February 28, to email@example.com for approval prior to stating it to the delegates and members.
Will not be eligible to be a voting delegate for your chapter at the State Leadership Conference.
