Tractor/Large Equipment Tire Recycling Collection
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

The Grand Traverse and Leelanau Conservation Districts and MAEAP in partnership with the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Foundation are offering a FREE recycling collection of old or unwanted large agricultural equipment tires and tractor tires. This is a service being provided for agricultural producers in Northwest Lower Michigan. We are unable to accept tires from other businesses (e.g., construction or trucking businesses, etc.) or other landowners at this time.

NOTE: PLEASE REMOVE RIMS FROM TIRES PRIOR TO BRINGING THEM IN FOR COLLECTION.

In order to allow as many producers as possible to utilize this service, please limit the number of tires you bring to no more than 30. Thank you!

September 15th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 pm.

Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center 880 Parsons Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686

We are only accepting large tires that aren't able to be recycled easily elsewhere. If you have regular-sized truck or car tires that you'd like to recycle, please contact RecycleSmart at 231-941-5555 for information on recycling passenger vehicle tires.

Please direct any questions to Adam Brown (adam.brown@macd.org, 231-256-9783 x268).

Thank you to the Grand Traverse Fruit Grower's Council (now housed at the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Foundation), for donating funds to help pay for this event and to the Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center for their partnership.
