Because the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade is a live broadcast, Montgomery County Recreation reserves the right to limit the number of units in the parade. Therefore, not all applications will be accepted. We will notify you as quickly as possible as to whether you will be in the 2018 Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade.

How many vehicles in parade ? (Vehicles must be a part of the unit and decorated)
Vehicles: Do you want magnetic signs for your vehicle?
If yes, enter the name of group as it will appear on sign (one line limit). Failure to return the magnetic vehicle signs at the end of parade will result in a $50 charge.

PARADE ANNOUNCER INFORMATION
Please provide interesting details for the television hosts to relay to the viewing audience. For example: Do you play/have music? Describe the group and group history. Describe the Costumes/Unit/Float in detail. Tell us something interesting about your organization,members, or parade participants? Did you do something special to prepare, etc.? Do you have any funny or exciting stories about your group or individual members that you wish to share with the television audience? If you have a float, what is your theme? Tell us how long it took to construct & how many people helped. Describe what the float is made from(flowers, balloons, newspapers, etc). All descriptions will be edited for content.
ADDITIONAL PARADE INFORMATION:
You will receive parade acceptance following the deadline. Please save the following link to edit your application.
• Parade steps off 10:00 a.m. SHARP (Line-up begins at 8am)
• Parade length is one (1) mile • No handing out leaflets
• No Santas, please. The official Santa is at the end of the parade!
• No candidates for Elective Office
• Businesses must create or sponsor a float, an unusual vehicle, or a giant helium balloon to be in the parade.
