SRJC Membership 2025

SRJC was established in 2015 to strengthen sexual reproductive health rights in South Africa.

Over the years we have had many successes. These include members producing score cards for candidates and political parties; advising National Departments on policy; advocating for access to essential services during Covid-19 lockdown; and winning a legal battle to protect abortion services from the burial of fetal remains.

SRJC MISSION AND VISION


Mission

Our mission is to contribute toward the realisation of sexual and reproductive justice for all. To be a platform for individuals and organisations to mobilise, advocate and produce and use evidence to realise our mission. To do so we create informed public debate and build consensus to hold policy makers and duty-bearers accountable for sexual and reproductive health.


Vision

We envision a future of sexual and reproductive justice informed by an intersectional perspective in which all people, regardless of class, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability, age, religion, or any other factor may enjoy their sexuality, make reproductive decisions and access high quality services in ways that enhance their dignity, bodily integrity and well-being.
