USE THE INFORMATION IN THIS SECTION TO ANSWER THE "OPTIONS" QUESTIONS BELOW.
Depending on each student's circumstances, there are several important distinctions to consider:
ONE: Whether the student is pursuing an academic internship or a non-academic internship  TWO: Whether the student is pursuing a credit-bearing internship or a non-credit-bearing internship  THREE: How the student will report internship activity to internship office, academic advisor, or other school personnel
ACADEMIC vs NON-ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP:
Academic Internship - the student is enrolled in classes and is required to report UNA-Orlando activity to his/her teachers, academic advisors, or school internship personnel.
Non-Academic Internship: TWO TYPES: 1) the student is enrolled in classes but is NOT required to report internship activity to his/her teachers, academic advisors, or school internship office, or 2) the student is not currently enrolled in classes but will use his/her internship activity for networking and professional development between academic programs.
CREDIT-BEARING vs NON-CREDIT-BEARING INTERNSHIP:
In both instances, the student is a) enrolled in classes, b) registered with his/her school's internship office, and c) required to report internship activity to his/her teachers, academic advisors, or school internship office.
Differences between Credit-Bearing programs and Non-Credit-Bearing: Credit-Bearing students must meet specific requirements set by the school in order to receive academic credits for his/her internship activity. Non-Credit-Bearing students will not receive academic credit but will receive official recognition from the school.
ACADEMIC INTERNS: complete this section after you have spoken with personnel in your school's internship office, with an academic advisor, or with other school personnel.
NON-ACADEMIC INTERNS: click the "I will pursue a NON-Academic..." button and skip to the "Chapter to Classroom" section.
