Perspectives on Community Health trips are an opportunity for people working on public health issues to step out of regular routines and join peers on visits to unique and important organizations to learn about their work and their approach to community health. Trips may take place on any island on a weekday or weekend, and typically last for three to five hours with activities ranging from walking tours to hands-on service projects.
Benefits to host organizations include increased awareness of and involvement with your programs and free publicity about your work and the event through HIPHI’s event calendar, blog, and story map.
HIPHI is a non-profit hub for health, bringing community-based organizations, government, academia, foundations and business together to improve the quality of life for the people of Hawai‘i. Building healthier communities requires collaboration on a variety of issues that impact health, including transportation, education, access to healthy food, and economic opportunities. And collaboration is what we do best.
