B&W photocopy for personal usage is $0.25/ image

Low Resolution for personal, non-profit, scholarly usage is $1.00/ image

REGULATIONS: PLEASE READ THIS THOROUGHLY

1. Be aware that it may take up to 48 hours to gather the requested materials. A staff member will contact you once materials have been identified to schedule your visit.
2. Researchers must schedule their visit at least 24 hours in advance. 
3. Researchers must sign in when they arrive and sign out when they leave. 
4. Food, drink, coats, briefcases, parcels, cameras, umbrellas, and personal books are not permitted in the research area. We have lockers you may use to store your personal items. 
5. No ink of any kind may be used in the research area; use pencils only. Computers may be brought into the archives and used at the discretion of the Archivist. 
6. Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited in the archives and research area. 
7. Please wash your hands before handling the materials. Do not use lotion or hand sanitizer before handling documents. 
8. The Researcher must wear gloves provided by the Archive when handling sensitive documents. 
9. All archival materials must be handled carefully: use only one folder at a time and keep the papers in their existing order. Do not place books or volumes face down. Do not lean or press on archival materials. Do not trace maps or other records. 
10. No archival material may be removed from the research area. 
11. For requested copies, please fill out a Digital Reproduction Order Form. 
12. Persons requesting access to restricted materials must contact the person or agency imposing the restrictions. 
13. Researchers are advised that it is their responsibility, not the archives, to obtain copyright clearance to publish or otherwise reproduce or distribute archival material, including photographs, should questions of copyright or invasion of privacy arise. 
14. If the image is used in a publication or public display, the researcher must credit the Black Archives of Mid-America: Courtesy of the Black Archives or Mid-America. 
15. If the research completed at the Archives results in a documentary, pamphlet, book, article or other publication, we ask that a copy be donated to the Archives.
