Durham Law Society Mentoring Scheme Registration of Interest Form 2024/25
About Us

At the Durham Law Society, we are committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals. Our Mentoring Scheme was set up to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice by pairing aspiring legal professionals with experienced mentors.

Get Involved

As a mentor, you play an important role in shaping the future of aspiring lawyers. Your experiences and insights could shape and aid in the growth of your mentees. Mentors can be experienced lawyers or students who have obtained vacation schemes and training contracts. Mentors may also be practicing barristers or those with pupillages. They may also be in academics or in civil service. Mentors are welcomed from all sectors of the industry, especially from less conventional careers and diversity backgrounds.
