The anole lizards provide us with a super famous example of niche partitioning, because in a number of Caribbean islands there are a number of species with similar diets — generally these creatures are insectivores. However, in a number of cases, they appear to avoid competing with each other because they occupy different physical locations. We can find forms that live preferentially in trees, and others that prefer living on the ground. What form of partitioning do you think this is?
