Pippin Audition Sign-Up
Use this form to sign up to audition for The Falcon's Eye Theatre production of Pippin.
People auditioning are expected to attend BOTH days of open auditions:
Open Vocal and Dance Auditions: Monday Feb 3rd, 2020 7pm-10pm
Open Monologue and Tumbling Auditions: Tuesday Feb 4th, 2020 7pm-10pm
Auditioners MUST prepare a monologue that is no more than 50 seconds long from a play. No teleplays, screenplays or passages from novels or song lyrics will be accepted. No original writing. The monologue should best portray the actor’s strengths and can be of any genre. Monologue must be memorized.
Prepare 16 bars of your choice that highlights your vocal range. Choose a song in the Broadway style of Pippin. You may select a song from the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.
DANCE & TUMBLING AUDITIONS
You will participate in a dance and physical movement audition. No preparation is necessary. Wear loose fitting attire that allows for easy movement. Jazz shoes or tennis shoes are recommended. No bare feet or socks are allowed.
HEADSHOT AND RESUME
These are requested, though not required. Bring 8x10 headshot and a resume outlining training and performing experience for acting, dancing and singing.
Callbacks are Wed Feb 5th from 7pm-10pm. Callbacks are by invitation only. Those who are called back will be given readings from the text. Therefore it is advised to be familiar with the musical Pippin.
