ARCHITECTURAL GRADUATES' SURVEY 2019
by Graduate Sub-Committee, Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia
Not a Part III Architect?
We’re calling ALL graduates of architecture, from diplomas to PhDs, to participate in an unprecedented research project undertaken by PAM. Whether you are a registered LAM Part II Graduate Architect (or not), are working in a practice, in an interior design firm, or selling home-made artisan cookies, we want to hear from YOU!
What's this survey about?
At present, very little is known about the occupations and preoccupations of architectural graduates who did not go on or have yet to acquire their Part III professional license. We don’t know:
- how many of you are (still) in the profession,
- how useful was your working experience towards securing better employment,
- what your perception is of our industry,
- if what PAM provides is sufficient for your career growth.

Lend us your voice, and help us gain a better picture of the workforce landscape, and how to improve PAM’s service to and support of graduates.
I'm in. What do I do?
Simply complete our online questionnaire; it should take approximately 5-8 minutes (if you’re no longer in practice, even shorter). A series of questions will be asked relating to your experience of employment and a short bit about your future plans.
Closing date?
The survey ends on February 14, 2019.
Do I get anything out of the survey?
By leaving your email and PAM/LAM membership number at the end of the survey, you are eligible to claim 1 CPD point. You will also stand to win 1 of 30 double movie passes as well as one mystery grand prize to be announced.

The higher objective is to foster inclusivity of graduates here at PAM, and to contribute towards the academic and policy debates that will hopefully improve the prospects for current and future graduates. The data received will also assist with the development of graduate-specific programmes and career support.

Will my info be kept confidential?
All information collected is strictly confidential. Names and membership numbers will not be identified in any report or publication that arises from this research. Members of this sub-committee will be not be privy to individual responses, and limited to reviewing post-processed data only. As far as possible, identifiers will be removed and labelling will be done numerically.
Who is organising this? Can I contact them?
