MESH Modeling Application (2023)
Welcome to MESH! Thank you so much for your interest in modeling for the Spring 2023 fashion show. MESH models are not expected to have any prior experience within the field of fashion or modeling. This opportunity is open to ALL majors and experience levels. However, due to capacity constraints and the number of designers, not everyone is guaranteed a spot in the fashion show.

This application consists of two parts: short answer questions and an audition video. Guidelines for the video are listed in the second section, and will be discussed in more depth at our open modeling auditions on Saturday, April 1st. If you would like, you can wait until after the workshop to submit or revise your application.

 Application Deadline: April 1, 2023 (midnight)

Overview of requirements:
There are at least five dates you will be required to attend:
4/5 - Fashion Show Social
4/15, 4/22, 4/29 - Model fittings (must come to at least two of the three)
5/6 - Dress Rehearsal
5/9 - Show Day!!!

The Application: Commitments/Responsibilities
As part of the modeling team, you are expected to attend the following events:
  • Fashion show social (Wednesday, April 5)
  • Modeling in heels workshop (tentatively Saturday, April 8)
  • Model fitting #1 (Saturday, April 15 )- must come to at least two of the three fittings
  • Model fitting #2 (Saturday, April 22) - must come to at least two of the three fittings
  • Model fitting #3 (Saturday, April 29) - must come to at least two of the three fittings
  • Dress rehearsal (Saturday, May 6)    
  • Fashion show (Tuesday May 9)
You are also highly encouraged, but not required, to attend:
  • 1st Spring quarter info meeting (Wednesday, March 29)
  • Model call/in-person audition (Saturday, April 1)
  • May Info Meeting (Wednesday, May 3)
If you cannot make two or more of the model fittings, you will have to coordinate privately with your designer to make up for it. By submitting an application you agree to attended all of these events unless extenuating circumstances arise. If you know in advance that you will not be able to attend, mark as such below.

Modeling Application: Audition Video and Measurements
To audition, record a 30 second vertical video of yourself walking down a path/hallway, ending with a variety of two poses. Try to wear all black if possible and wearing heels is encouraged. Creativity is key, but don't stress!

Please post your video to a platform like Youtube(can be unlisted) and title your video Model_Audition_First name_Last name, and link it down below!

If you do not know how to take your measurements, or would like help taking them, we will have tape measures available at the model audition (Saturday April 1).
