Writing for Games Scholarship for Women
Let’s Make Games is proud to announce the Writing for Games Scholarship for Women.

One successful applicant will receive a fully-paid ticket to FTI’s upcoming Writing for Games & Interactive Course. The course is being taught by Anthony Sweet (Handwritten Games, lead designer at Black Lab Games), and runs every Wednesday evening for six weeks, starting February 15th.

This scholarship comes as a measure to help address the gender imbalances present in the global industry, and to help foster a welcoming environment for everyone in our local community.

The successful applicant will receive a ticket for the full six lesson Writing for Games & Interactive course being held by FTI. Preference will be given to applicants who are available to attend all six lessons. The course schedule looks like this:

15/2 - Game Writers & The Games Industry
22/2 - Interactive Narratives
1/3 - Characters
8/3 - Tools & Processes
15/3 - World Building
22/3 - Finishing Your Game & Next Steps

The successful scholarship applicant will additionally receive a mentorship and career development session with Anthony in addition to the course.

As a part of the scholarship outcomes, the successful applicant will be expected to complete all course work, which includes publishing a completed interactive project online.

Applications close Sunday 12th February at 5pm. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by Monday, February 13th.

All women of every background with an interest in interactive writing and game development are recommended to apply.
