2025-26 Preschool & Head Start Application
*READ BELOW INFORMATION CAREFULLY.  TAKE A PICTURE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
*Child must be 3 or 4 years of age prior to August 1, 2025 to be considered for eligibility.  Enrollment for Preschool and Head Start is based on eligibility criteria into programs.  All children must be screened and required documents submitted to determine eligibility and placement.  Children may attend preschool as tuition-based if eligibility is not met and space allows.  

*Additional required documents include a copy of: legal birth certificate, immunizations, physical exam, proof of residence, proof of ALL household income, and eye exam by eye doctor (by January 2026).  These documents must be received before your child will be assigned to a preschool session.

*Bring required documents to the screening, email to paula.turner@washington.kyschools.us, or bring to the Washington County Board of Education at 120 Mackville Hill Springfield KY 

*You will be contacted regarding the developmental screening date and time for your child after your application is reviewed.  The first round of screenings begin in April.

*PRESCHOOL IS A HALF DAY PROGRAM MONDAY-THURSDAY.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN CHILDCARE THE OTHER HALF DAY, PLEASE CONTACT KIM GRIGSBY AT (859)336-9554.
