Q: Why is the trail being constructed?
A: The trail is part of the Overland Park Greenway Linkages Plan.  The Greenway Linkages Plan helps guide the development of an extensive system of linear open spaces that link public parks and recreation facilities with schools, residences, churches, libraries and more. Q: What are the limits of the new bike pedestrian trail?
A: This project includes a 10' wide trail to accommodate a mixed use of bicycles and pedestrians, with an approximate total length of 1.5 miles running from Nall Avenue & 91st Street on the east boundary to Lowell Avenue & 91st Terrace on the west. At Lowell Avenue, it will join the existing trail segment that leads to Cherokee Park.

Q: What is the layout of the trail?
A: The preliminary plans that are available on the City website demonstrate the layout of the trail.

Q: Who can use the trail?
A; The trail will be available for walking, jogging, and biking.

Q: When will construction begin?
A: Construction is scheduled to start Spring 2021 with completion in Fall 2021.
