SUMMER MEDIA CAMP
JULY 12–AUGUST 20, 2021

This summer we will hold our popular media camp onsite day at Museum of the Moving Image. Onsite camp sessions run Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Week-long virtual sessions will also be offered for campers who wish to participate remotely (virtual camp will be held by zoom - see below for more details). Children ages 8-14 can participate. Programs vary week to week, and sessions can be taken independently or in any combination. All levels of experience are welcome. Your child will receive an abundance of personalized attention in a safe environment: The average child-to-teacher ratio is 7:1. Students sit 6 feet apart in summer media camp classrooms and follow museum-wide safety protocols. The museum is following stringent COVID-19 safety protocols which include regular sanitizing, high quality ventilation, and socially distanced protocols in all galleries and spaces.  

Summer Media Camp is the perfect way for your children to explore something new, express their creativity, and experiment with technology. Working under the guidance of specially trained artists and educators, your child will collaborate with other children to create original movies, animated films, and video games, which will then be featured as part of a special showcase at the Museum. All levels of experience are welcome. Each child will leave camp with the confidence and knowledge that they made something awesome!

SIGNING UP:
Parents will receive an email confirmation of the selected workshops. Please submit a separate registration form for each child if there are multiple children from the household participating in the camp. Placement in the camp is not guaranteed until full payment is received. Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis. A $45 registration fee is applied to any non-members of the Museum of the Moving Image. Information on becoming a member can be found on our website.

WAITING LISTS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS:
If a session is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if space becomes available. To receive a refund, cancellations must be made at least three weeks prior to the start of the program. If the Museum of the Moving Image cancels a program for any reason, all enrollment fees will be refunded.
