2019 Farm Fresh for Health Mini-Grant Farmers Market Application
ASAP, through funding from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, is providing mini-grants (up to $200 per market) for farmers markets to develop and conduct wellness engagement activities to promote their markets, bring in new customers, build connections with community partners, and offer positive experiences with fresh local food. We encourage markets to be creative in designing engagement activities around these goals, but also offer these examples to spur ideas: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10w7Wz_OCeAI5x_m33YkEMdNyPtIWf8I_lvIi6-aE9Pc/edit?usp=sharing

Applications are approved on a rolling basis, and are available until funds run out. Applications will be selected based upon strength and ingenuity of project.

In addition to mini-grant funding, ASAP also offers a variety of resources and promotional materials for farmers markets including templates to create recipe cards/cooking tips or press releases. For more information contact Mireille Alemam at maleman@asapconnections.org or by calling the ASAP office (828-236-1282).

Note: As funding is provided by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, only farmers markets located within their 18 county service region are eligible for grant funding. All counties in the map below are eligible for funding.
