SNAP Case Canceled: Employment & Training
The number of Illinois SNAP recipients who are being told that they must participate in SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) has risen dramatically over the past year. Many of those called in to their local DHS office are being sanctioned and losing their SNAP benefits during this process. The Illinois Hunger Coalition, in partnership with other concerned parties, including community providers, policy groups, and legislative staff, are looking to track this issue and to help those who are impacted.

There are three reasons for you to fill out this form when your client's SNAP case has been canceled because of an E&T issue:

1. You would like to help us find systemic solutions. The data that is collected will be used to identify the problems that SNAP recipients are experiencing and to support resulting advocacy efforts.

2. You would like help in resolving your client's case.

3. BOTH!

The information will go directly to the Illinois Hunger Coalition (IHC), where all identifying information will be treated as confidential.

If you have any questions, please reach out to IHC at 312-629-9580.

Note: If you are filling out the form for advocacy and record-keeping purposes only, you do not have to enter any identifying information (e.g. name, phone number, etc).
