Who We Are

CSA Financial Scholarship Guidelines
Requests for tuition support far exceed the funds that CSA is able to allocate. With this in mind, it is the goal of the organization to try to reach out and serve the needs of as many students as possible. CSA is able to do this by granting a limited number of scholarships in various amounts. Awarded scholarship amounts are determined based on household income, number of individuals living in the household, and funds available. Annual household income may not exceed $85,000.00.
Scholarship funds will be applied in equal monthly payments to your CSA account. Scholarships apply to tuition costs only. Class registration fees, private lessons, supplies, costumes, etc. are the sole responsibility of the student/family. Request for additional financial assistance may be considered.
CSA Financial Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a waiting list for those not awarded funds at the start of the academic year. Financial assistance will not be awarded to an applicant with an outstanding balance on their account.
Required Documents
After your application has been received, a CSA staff member will contact the parent, guardian, or student to collect the required financial documentation.
Please be prepared to provide the following documents:
- Previous year's tax filing
- If you did not file taxes, please provide a W-2 or two consecutive pay stubs
- Supporting Documentation for any of the following:
- Unemployment Benefits
- Social Security Compensation Received
- Child Support Received
- Any State-Subsidized Funding
Volunteer Commitment
A requirement of all CSA Financial Scholarships is to fulfill a volunteer commitment to CSA. This is the sole responsibility of the recipient/recipient’s family. Scholarship recipients and/or caregiver are required to usher at one CSA performance and participate in one CSA workday each year. You will receive information and communications via email for specific dates of events to meet this requirement. All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteer hours from previous years must be complete to be considered.
Awarding of Scholarships
Applicants will be notified by email once scholarship awards have been determined prior to August 1st. All scholarship students and legal guardian will be required to sign a scholarship award contract before scholarship funds will be applied to accounts. Students must be enrolled, and scholarship award contracts must be submitted by August 5th or funds may be reallocated.
Entrance/Exit Surveys
Scholarship recipients will be asked to participate in an entrance and exit survey. Your participation in these surveys provides us with valuable data CSA uses to gauge our reach in the community, identify additional needs, and inform future programming.
