Transglobal weekend of Music May 13-15 2022

The team from Ethno New Zealand, with support from Auckland Council Creative Communities, are excited to invite you to the Transglobal weekend of Music!

Come and join a three day event filled with musical connection, knowledge sharing, workshops with guest musicians from all over the world and jam sessions all guided by our experienced intercultural artistic mentors.
This is an event open for musicians of all skill levels and ages with a passion and curiosity on music from around the globe. Most of the music making and learning will be by ear.

When and where:
May 13-15 2022 at Ellen Melville Centre, Auckland CBD.

Times:
Friday the 13th - 6 pm to late - Meet and greet, introduction session, dinner
Saturday the 14th - 5 pm to late - Workshops, jam sessions. Shared dinner
Sunday the 15th - 12 pm to 6 pm - Lunch followed by workshops and jam sessions

Price:
$50 for the weekend, including workshops and food

Spaces are limited, so sign up today!

You can attend the Transglobal weekend of Music just to learn and play with others but we also wants to encourage participants to share some of their own music. We will try our very best to make space for as many as possible. If you want to teach/share something, please describe what it would be! For example: a song from your culture, a tune, a dance...etc.
