ESSER Community Planning
Due to the challenges COVID-19 has placed on school systems across the country and because of the learning loss gaps that have occurred as a result of missed instructional time, Meigs County Schools has been afforded an opportunity to apply for ESSER funding. This funding will be applied to two main categories: academics - to ensure all students have access to high-quality educational opportunities - and student readiness - to equip and serve the academic and non-academic needs of all students. In order to develop a plan for this funding, we are seeking input from our community partners and stakeholders including: families, students, teachers, administrators, advocacy organizations, businesses, community members, health professionals, etc. This feedback should include information to help us design a multi-year recovery plan aligned to maximize these one-time funds for the needs of our students and school system.
