store opening its first location in Southfield! Tiger Market was founded with the mission
to inspire the community through high quality food and service, and we are

TIGER MARKET TEAM MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION
As a team member, you will have the following responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Going above and beyond to ensure a positive
shopping experience by greeting customers and proactively helping with their
shopping needs.
- Assisting customers at all points in their shopping
experience from product selection to checkout
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing
customer requests (both in person and via phone) in a timely and effective
manner
Stocking/Inventory
- Receiving shipments and accurately logging missing/damaged/spoiled
items
- Breaking down boxes and packaging for disposal
- Preparing, packaging, weighing, pricing and displaying
products for sale
- Monitoring product quality by checking
expiration dates or product freshness
- Assisting with inventory checks to make sure
that inventory levels are accurate and at ideal levels
- Ensuring shelves/displays are well-stocked, organized
and clean
- Ensuring pricing and signage are accurate
- Maintaining a well-organized and clean back-stock
Cleaning/Maintenance
- Complying with established procedures to ensure both
a safe and clean work environment at all times
- Taking out trash and recyclables
- Assisting with the maintenance of shopping carts
- Reporting any health/safety violations
We are looking for team members with the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and passion for Asian and specifically Korean food
and culture
- Strong verbal communication skills with customers,
vendors and fellow team members
- Friendly, polite, outgoing and professional attitude
- Excellent organization and cleaning skills
- Strong work ethics which includes being on time
for scheduled shifts, proactively spending down time by cleaning and
organizing, and having a sense of responsibility of all assigned tasks and
roles
- Willingness to work as part of a team and to
follow directions and procedures
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of products,
merchandising, stocking and handling customers
- Ability to visually recognize products for
quality and freshness
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including
nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must have high standards for personal hygiene
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds and to have the
physical ability to handle large objects
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be comfortable working in cold environments
- Must be comfortable using tools and equipment such
as box cutters, knives, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts and balers
- Must have prior experience working in retail
(handling cash, checking out customers, handling customer requests, etc.)
- Must be 16 years and older
- Must have a reliable means of transportation
