IPTC Cultural Heritage Bridge Panel Tests

The objective of these tests is to assure that the new Heritage panel reads and writes valid IPTC XMP metadata, including the new Artwork/Object adopted in 2014 (http://www.iptc.org/std/photometadata/specification/IPTC-PhotoMetadata).

    Add new metadata to a test image

    Here is a test image: http://metadatadeluxe.pbworks.com/w/page/96879435/IPTC%20CH 1. Use the Heritage Panel to add data to an image 2. Add data to every field shown in the panel 3. Click "Save" and close the Heritage Panel

    Check the test image for metadata

    1. Open the the Heritage Panel 2. Check all fields (We are checking to see if the Heritage Panel created XMP with the data you entered)

    Check the test image in the regular Bridge File Info panel

    (We are checking to see if the Heritage Panel XMP metadata that can be read by the regular Adobe File info panel) IPTC Core and Extension will show up in the usual tabs. IPTC Extension 2014 (new Heritage fields) will be visible in File Info Panel in Photshop and Bridge. Click advanced tab to see IPTC Extended properties, under Artwork or Object bag container. (You can also user Jeffrey's exif viewer at http://regex.info/exif.cgi to view all XMP properties)

    Check the test image in other image management/processing software

    e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom, desktop and online DAM System. (We are checking that the XMP metadata is compatible) You will probably not see the new IPTC Heritage fields, but you should see the other fields.
