Project Next Generation Sign Up
Danville Public Library's Teen Zone is participating in an innovative grant project that aims to bring technology and career focused skills to teens in public libraries. PNG programs encourage personal growth and the educational development of middle to high school students through the use of mentors, technology and library based group projects. The goal of PNG is to bridge the digital divide by making recent technologies accessible to students who have limited access to computers.
The PNG Classes open on March 1st and will be available Monday-Friday from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. Program participants will be able to come any time between 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. as the computer modules take up to 45 minutes to complete.
We will be offering hospitality, veterinary science, and vinyl sign making. These programs are self-paced computer modules that will be guided by staff as needed. All programming will be held in the Teen Zone on the teen computers. We will contact you and schedule your times based on your scheduling preferences.
