In order to obtain access to eRETA and receive a User ID, each user must complete all three of the following steps:
Step 1) Complete all required fields below and agree to the "GSA IT General Rules of Behavior" and acknowledge the eRETA Access Rules.
Step 2) Complete the "eRETA Application Clearance Verification Form" available at www.gsa.gov/ereta. This form is required by GSA's Personnel Security Office. Because this form requests Personally Identifiable Information (PII) please only share it with your Agency's Personnel Security office (or Human Resources Office) and then send it to GSA's Personnel Security Office. Full instructions on how to submit this information to GSA securely are provided on the Clearance Verification Form.
Step 3) After your request has been processed and your clearance verified**, the GSA National Application Helpdesk will send a "Welcome to eRETA" email to the email address you provided. Follow the steps in that "Welcome to eRETA" email to finalize your account.
**Due to multiple offices which each handle a different aspect of the application process , we cannot provide an expected turnaround time between Step 2 and 3. If you completed the Step 2 Clearance Verification Form more than 10 business days ago, please do NOT re-submit this form (Step 1 of 3) again. Instead we suggest you contact your Personnel Security Office or Human Resources Office to confirm Step 2 of 3 was forwarded to the GSA Personnel Security Office.
It is important to click the "Submit" button at the bottom of this form to ensure GSA receives your request.
NOTE: As of July 2013, eRETA has converted over to the new FIVE (5)-digit Agency Bureau Code that the entire federal government will be transitioning to. Please be sure to enter the appropriate 5-digit code on this screen. For most federal agencies the 5-digit code just includes a leading "0". To review valid five-digit Agency Bureau Codes please visit www.gsa.gov/ereta and locate the "eRETA Agency Bureau Codes" file under "Step 1" of the eRETA Account Request Process"
Read Only - allows read only access to all RWAs tied to the Agency Bureau Code(s) you have requested access to. This includes the ability to download reports into Excel, open documents uploaded in the eRETA Documentation Tool, and the ability to quickly access estimates, RWAs, financial information, and more linked to each RWA
Data Entry (coming May 2017) - this provides the same access as the Read Only role above, PLUS allows users to enter and submit new project or service needs (known as “RWA Work Requests”) to GSA, PLUS allows users to enter and submit RWA information (equivalent to Page 1 of the RWA 2957 Form) for new or amended RWAs to GSA.
NOTE: To request the Data Entry user role, you must be authorized to submit RWA Work Requests or RWAs (new or amended) on behalf of your agency.
