STWT #4 Women & Climate Change | Part 1 – Women in Climate Science 女性與氣候變化 | 第 1 部分——氣候科學領域的女性
The HKU Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Organisation is co-hosting along with the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, a lecture cycle “STWT #4 – Women and Climate Change”. The cycle is composed of three events to give a voice to women in climate science and climate action.

Time: 4:30pm to 6:00pm (HKT) | 10:30am to 12:00pm (CET)

The first conference “Women in Climate Science” will take place on April 27th (Wed), from 4:30pm to 6pm (HKT) | 10:30am to 12pm (CET).

Well-recognized scientists in the field of climate science from France and Hong Kong will discuss their career path and the role of women in climate change. Following the panel discussion, audience members will be invited to engage in the conversation.

STWT (Science Talks are [Women] Talks) is a conference series designed by the Consulate General of France to provide female scientists and female stakeholders in the field with a platform to discuss issues specific to women and to inspire girls and women to pursue a scientific career.

HKU WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) is an organisation of the University of Hong Kong who promotes gender equality and supports women in STEM roles. It aims to encourage underrepresented groups to study and pursue careers in these fields and to create a diverse and supportive community of scientists at HKU and beyond.
