Be the first to be notified when Holiday programming is available! Our Holiday programs primarily serve New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Onslow, Columbus and Bladen counties - and other counties as requested.

We will begin sending out communications with more details in October.

2026 Holiday Programming includes:

Visits with Santa - private visits with Santa exclusively for the foster care community - average annual visit include 65 families and over 100 kids

Stockings for Aged Out Young Adults - providing a stocking stuffed with holiday items and a $100 in gift cards - we expect to provide approximately 100 stockings across SE NC

Holiday Family Box - a box filled with activities the family can enjoy together during the holidays - for families that do not visit with Santa or who have other holiday/religious preferences - we expect to do 125 boxes

Toy Drive - collecting toys for the holidays to be used at Visits with Santa, filling holiday wish lists.

Wishlist Fulfillment - for children in foster care, or children entering foster care during the holidays, recently reunified families, families receiving in home services support, and kinship families who do not qualify for other assistance.

Stuff (or sponsor) Stockings for Aged Out Youth - stuffed holiday stocking with $100 gift card

Fill a wishlist for a child in foster care - DSS will provide a wishlist for specific children

Adopt an Aged Out Young Adult family with dependents

*Be on call* to fill a child's wish list who enters foster care during the holidays

Adopt A Teen/Aged Out - purchase a gift from their wishlist

Host a Toy Drive at your business, church, neighborhood and/or with friends/family

Hosting a Donation Drive for our Foster Closet Greatest Needs

Host a Holiday Fundraiser - to collect funds for our holiday programming

Be notified of any other needs, urgent requests, or ways to support the families during the holidays

Inviting us to speak to your group, church, business, workplace about our mission and ways to help

Hosting a Giving Tuesday (Dec 1st) fundraiser to help us kickstart our 2027 programming
