Peer to Peer Spring 2023 Tutor Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Peer to Peer in partnership with the IRC youth program in Silver Spring! We would like to invite all new volunteers to complete the following application in order to be a volunteer with the youth program this spring.

Selected volunteers will be able to participate in any of the programs and activities the youth program hosts this spring.

1. Virtual After School Program - this program connects middle and high school students with a trained volunteer to provide support with homework, English conversation practice, and tutoring in specific areas tailored to each student. This program is virtual and takes place on Zoom with the supervision of IRC staff.
The program is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:30-6:00 pm. New volunteers will be able to start participating in the after school program once the required onboarding steps have been completed.
We ask volunteers to commit to volunteering at least 2x per month with this program.

2. Virtual Saturday Learning Series - this program is meant to provide students in elementary through college with additional support on the weekends with homework help, career support, college support, English practice, and relationship building skills. This program is virtual and takes place on Zoom with the supervision of IRC staff.
The program is every other Saturday from 11 am-12:30 pm.
We ask volunteers to commit to volunteering at least once per month with this program.

We hope to offer in-person programming for students and in-person volunteer opportunities for volunteers this spring. Further information regarding in-person activities will be communicated as it is finalized.

The deadline to apply is Friday, February 17th. Upon submission of your application, you will receive an email from a member of the Peer to Peer E-Board indicating whether you have been selected to move on to the next step of the application process. All selected applicants will be required to complete an interview and training. Additional information regarding next steps will be provided via email.

If you have any questions during the application process, you can reach out to the Peer to Peer E-Board at peertopeerorg@gmail.com.
