On Day 1 of the Summit, representatives from community organizations will be invited to work on climate change adaptation plans. In the morning, attendees will be able to choose between participating in working groups on infrastructure and resiliency, food insecurity and agriculture, or health. In the afternoon, participants will choose between working groups on energy, refugees and social services, and housing. Each group will identify potential problems that might arise as a result of climate change, community expectations for action, community capacities for action, what each organization can do, and what the working group can do as a collective. The aim is to have these working groups continue to meet on a regular basis to prepare our area for climate change. Binghamton University, through its Binghamton 2 Degrees project, will support these working groups.
