Please make sure to sign up for only one session, and to fill out ONE FORM PER CHILD so our count is accurate!
Culinary Adventures for Kids! Embark on a delicious journey as we explore a new country through hands on cooking and engaging activities designed for children ages 5-12.
What to Expect:
We will make a traditional dish from Sri Lanka, engage in a craft related to the flag of Sri Lanka, and have a lesson that explores Sri Lanka's culture, flag, language, landmarks, and more!
Details:
Location: Pilot Point First United Methodist Church (no religious content involved)
Time: 12pm-2pm
Cost: $15 per child. CASH ONLY paid upon arrival at the class.
*Important Notes*
- Please note we will be making and sampling food, but not providing lunch. Please plan on feeding your child lunch before the class!
- Space is limited to 20 participants per class. A waitlist will be created after the first 20 registrants and we will contact you if there is a cancellation and space becomes available.
- Registering your child for this class implies you intend to participate and will pay the class fee. If you cannot attend it is your responsibility to inform us at least 4 days before the class AND find someone to replace your child. Otherwise we ask that you pay the $15 anyway as we will shop for food and supplies ahead of time and will be counting on that money to pay for the class.
- You must sign a waiver for your child each semester. They will be posted ahead of time on our page for review and printing ahead of time.
- Allergies - Recipes will be posted ahead of time on our page. Parents are responsible for reviewing the recipes for allergens. If your child is allergic to an ingredient, we ask that you choose another class date.
- We ask that parents remain present in the building during class for emergency purposes. There is a small nursery where you can take siblings to play during class.
Any questions please reach out to Caitlin Mullis, Kelse Clark-Fernandez, or Amie Thomson.
