Application: Echoes of Chicago's Arts on the River Walk at Taste of River North 2017
Thanks for applying for the Echoes of Chicago's Arts on the River Walk at Taste of River North on July 22nd-23rd. Submitting this application does not confirm nor commit your space. We will respond to all applications ASAP.

Echoes will be organizing a Community Mural, our classic Arts & Crafts tables, Kite-Making, and other interactive activities for the public to participate in. But we need YOU to make our area pop!

We are looking for local artists, artisans, and crafts people to participate in our area along the river in Montgomery Park in River North during Taste of River North (unfortunately, we cannot have vendors that exclusively sell jewelry).

We encourage activations as we want this area to be as lively as possible, but all applicants are welcome! Community groups and organizations are also welcome to submit an (interactive) activation to help promote themselves.

Live Artists can participate for FREE!!!

We support applicants thinking outside of the box regarding Live Art conceptualization... Collaborative Live Art (ie an arts collective), Live Glass Blowing, Live Sculpting, Live Pottery Throwing, Freestyle Cyphers, Breakdance Performances, Theatrical Activations, Circus Performances, Live Screen Printing, Etc. If the public can participate in whatever you're doing, even better!

$100 fee for a 10'x10' space (or less if you would like to share with another artist) if you plan on selling any of your work, or being a vendor.

Tents and furniture will be available for rent, for an additional cost (on top of the fee for the space):
$150 for a 10×10 tent (with water barrels)
$75 for sharing a 10×10 (1/2 of a 10×10) (with water barrels)
$10 a water barrel (suggested 2 per tent if you have no weights otherwise)
$10 per table
$5 per chair
$5 per clip light (bring extension cords and splitters / power strips)

It can be incredibly windy along the riverwalk. We STRONGLY suggest renting a tent rather than bringing your own. If you bring your own tent, it is required to have weights on your tent as a safety precaution (as to not flip over). Last year, the event was impacted by storms and most pop-up tents (including ours) were destroyed.

Load-in will be 8-10:30am on Saturday July 22nd. Load-out will be 8:00pm on Sunday evening.

Event Hours
Saturday, July 22nd: 12PM-10PM
Sunday, July 23rd: 11AM-8PM

Hurry, space is limited! Remember, filling out an application does not confirm or commit your space. We will respond to all applications ASAP.
