Lilac Children's Garden aims to keep the same teacher with a class from first grade through graduation from our program at around eighth grade. This is called "looping" and is a common practice in Waldorf education. Are you open to this? (We do not ask for a time commitment beyond a school year; we understand that life happens!) *
Waldorf-inspired teaching requires creating lesson plans that revolve around age-appropriate stories, while integrating the arts (fine arts, music, acting, etc.), handwork or crafting, seasonal activities, and movement.

Our program incorporates seasonal festivals and class plays. Teachers and their classes present a song or movement activity at several festivals. Teachers are also expected to present, sing and participate in these events for the community. Are you comfortable presenting in front of a group? *
