ECA's Cohort Survey for Parents
Upon guidance from DC Health, all DC public and public charter schools will move into Phase Two, where schools may reopen under specific guidelines. When schools reopen, the following measures should be implemented in order to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission among students and staff.

In the guidance from DC Health, schools should ensure appropriate physical distancing by having:
*No more than 12 total individuals clustered in one class,

*One additional staff (13 total individuals) can be briefly added to the class if necessary, to support individual student needs,

*Six feet of distance between everyone,

*Grouping the same students and staff together each day and throughout the day

*Limiting non-essential visitors

*No mixing between groups to include entry and exit of the building, at mealtime, in the rest room, on the playground, in the hallway, and other shared spaces,

*Rearrange student desks to maximize the space between students.

*Turn desks to face in the same direction (rather than facing each other) to reduce transmission caused from virus-containing droplets (e.g., from talking, coughing, sneezing),

*Allow students to eat lunch and breakfast in their classrooms rather than mixing in the cafeteria.
Our school schedule will be consistent with citywide recommendations from the Deputy Mayor of Education. It will consist of an ABV schedule in which students come in person for two consecutive days and have three virtual days of learning.
Definitions:

100% Virtual – Students participate in full-time distance learning at home but are still required to be in daily attendance at all virtual classroom sessions and complete all work provided.

ABV Schedule – Students attend school in person for two days and virtual learning for three days but are still required to be in daily attendance at all virtual classroom sessions and complete all work provided.
