The eCTF is a challenging semester long competition between schools from across the country. Participating students have the opportunity to practice and refine their cybersecurity skills with a focus on securing embedded systems. Embedded systems present different security challenges than those covered in typical cyber and network security courses and the eCTF is a great environment to get hands-on experience with these challenges.
While the eCTF is open to students of all levels and abilities, prior experience with embedded programming, cybersecurity, electronics, signal processing, and cryptography are all extremely helpful! If possible, we recommend including students on your team that bring these diverse skill sets together.
We also recommend that participating students create an independent study course with their college or university in order to ensure they can commit the necessary time to succeed in the competition. To this end, all teams are required to have an academic advisor who can help provide their team with guidance and expertise throughout the semester. We're very excited for you to be a part of the 2020 eCTF and look forward to seeing what you can do!
The event begins January 15th, 2020.
