CGP Item Validation and Standard Setting Working Groups
USGIF is calling for applicants to participate in the Remote Item Validation and Standard Setting process for the Certified GEOINT Professional (CGP) exams:

• Certified GEOINT Professional – Geospatial Data Management (CGP-D)
• Certified GEOINT Professional – GIS & Analysis Tools (CGP-G)
• Certified GEOINT Professional – Remote Sensing & Imagery Analysis (CGP-R)

One (1) Standard Setting Working Group will be conducted remotely for each CGP exam. Subject matter experts (SMEs) will be responsible to complete the following tasks based on which working group they’ve been assigned to (CGP-D, CGP-G, or CGP-R):

1. Review the minimally acceptable candidate description
2. Review the CGP items from a content perspective
3. Provide initial ratings on the CGP items
4. Provide final review and ratings on CGP items

This opportunity is open to all GEOINT professionals ranging in experience, who are certified, and who are not certified. A total of eight (8) SMEs will be formally selected for each CGP Standard Setting Working Group. Each group will include:

• 2-3 SMEs from Academia
• 2-3 SMEs from Industry
• 2-3 SMEs from Government

In total, this activity is expected to take 8-10 hours to complete over the course of one (1) month.

For individuals who hold an active USGIF certification, this activity is worth up to nine (9) Professional Development Units (PDUs) under the Professional Development category as stated in the Candidate Handbook.

Individuals who participate in this activity and are uncertified will NOT be eligible to take the CGP exam they worked on for at least (1) year after completing this activity.
