Cool Down P-Town is a project that focuses on identifying heat patterns in Portsmouth Virginia. This information will then be shared with the public to identify neighborhoods at risk from extreme heat, and to be targeted for intervention, including a tree planting project in 2025. You as a volunteer will be driving and/or navigating specific routes during prescribed times one hot day this summer (July 14, weather permitting). Volunteers can drive/ride along 1-3 times on the campaign day. Once we have finalized the routes you will receive a follow-up email. Cool Down P-Town es un proyecto que se enfoca en identificar patrones de calor en Portsmouth Virginia.
