RSVP to the Stormwater Tree Trench site visit
Join CAFES as we meet with City of Ottawa engineers for an educational site visit at the stormwater tree cell pilot project on Glebe Ave and Bank St. This pilot project is currently under construction and will be Ottawa's first stormwater tree trench. The pilot will involve two Honey Locust trees planted in soil cells with stormwater engineering to direct run-off into the trench.

The site visit will take place at 10:00 am on Monday November 18th. We will meet on the South-West side of the intersection of Glebe Avenue and Bank Street. A technical expert from the City will be there to show us the construction site and provide an explanation of how the tree cells will work in this pilot.

CAFES has been a long-term advocate for stronger linkages between green infrastructure and stormwater management in Ottawa, and we are very excited to be seeing a stormwater tree trench installed in the city.
