Social Media, Opioids and Human Trafficking Awareness Registration Form
Please register for the Social Media, Opioids and Human Trafficking Awareness Community Academy session on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Oakland Mills Middle School. Registration begins at 9:00 am. The session will be conducted 9:15 - 11:15 am. This session will discuss the use of social media, opioids and awareness about human trafficking. Did you know opioid-use is an epidemic amongst students? What about the fact that a human-trafficking stop is in Howard County and improper social media use plays a factor?” Representatives from Howard County agencies will be on hand to share valuable information regarding prevention strategies to protect children. Additionally, families will learn about various social media sites students are accessing and best practices to monitor social media usage. Registering will help us prepare the appropriate amount of materials for the session and possibly accentuate the presentation with additional information.
