The format is short and simple:
Open with a Verse. The verse needs to be in one of the following translations: The Passion Translation, The Mirror, NLT, CEV, or NET.
Then you can write a very short devotional thought paragraph that inspires love, hope, joy or inspiration to the audience. Remember this is designed to be a morning devotional - it will publish early in the morning. So, it's uplifting for the day.
Then a Declaration / Claimed promise straight from the verse.
Then follow with a short prayer that reflects the verse, etc.

Verse: Mt 5:8 TPT What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more & more of God.
Thought: Just like we can get distracted, so can our heart. When we treasure other things like food, money, material possessions, people, activities - whether exercise or gambling... or just an addiction to our own thinking or our need to be right - all things become idols in our heart and we lose sight of God & all the ways He is blessing our lives. Idols rob us of the joy it is to see, heart, and know Him.
Declaration: Bliss is mine because I strive to keep my heart pure so I can open my eyes and see more of God.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly come before you to ask you to help me identify the things in my heart, Lord, that keep me from seeing more of You so that I may experience the bliss that comes from a pure heart. I know these things died on the cross with Jesus, Lord. However, I fear they may still be distracting me from the goodness and all the blessings you have to offer me! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
