Workshop - A 3 hour deep dive into a topic. Workshops teach special skills in a small group setting and may be held at the conference venue or suitable off-site location. Successful workshops are led by experts, are on practical topics, and are participatory or interactive.
Panel - A 60 minute presentation with a moderator facilitating a discussion (includes Q&A).
Lecture - Sixty-minute presentation with one or more presenters. Q&A to follow.
Roundtable Discussion - With tables set around the room, a discussion guide leads a conversation on a specific topic.
TAM Talk - Active discussion led by a facilitator on a timely museum topic.
Burst - A 25 minute fast-paced presentation that breaks down information into more digestible and engaging content (includes Q&A).
Case Study - A 25 minute presentation focusing on a real or hypothetical situation or problem that invites participants to discuss potential solutions and outcomes. Two case studies will be combined into an unmoderated hour-long session.
Lightning Talk - This is where each speaker has five minutes and 20 automatically-advancing slides. Submissions will be evaluated on the following: Brevity, fresh perspective, sense of performance, an understanding of the format.
Poster Session - These sessions capture the best in big thinking from the TAM community. Learn about the latest projects through interactives, posters, and all kinds of formats that showcase innovation.
Debate - This format involves lively speakers with well-developed ideas who can present opposing views and then open the debate to everyone.
