Alberta Library Conference 2019 - Call for Poster Proposals
The Alberta Library Conference (ALC) 2019 Planning Committee, with support from the Library Association of Alberta (LAA) and the Alberta Library Trustees Association (ALTA), is accepting poster proposals for the 2019 Alberta Library Conference. ALC 2019 takes place in Jasper, Alberta, from April 25 to 28, 2019.

Our Conference theme for 2019 is Find A Way. Never give up, never stop trying. Just because it didn’t work before doesn’t mean it won’t work this time. Be persistent despite barriers. Learn from failure; build on success. Ask for help. Continue to grow. Embrace enthusiasm. Say “yes” to new opportunities, new challenges, new ways of thinking. Find a way to make it happen!

The committee is seeking submissions of posters for the conference. The poster session takes place on Thursday evening and includes an opportunity for presenters to engage with conference attendees to discuss their work. After the poster session, posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference.

PLEASE NOTE: POSTERS MUST BE FREESTANDING AS THERE IS NO WALL SPACE IN THE PRESENTATION AREA SUITABLE FOR HANGING POSTERS. There will be a limited number of tables available for small freestanding panel posters. Freestanding banner posters are ideal.

Posters can be research-based or can provide information about a library initiative or issue.

Submission deadline is March 31, 2019.
