MC MaL Co-Design Survey

Dear Chapter Leaders--By now, you should have received Rahsaan Harris' announcement about EPIP's MC MaL campaign, a seven-month effort to raise awareness and highlight different ways that EPIP members can learn and practice Measuring a Leader skills. Through the MC MaL campaign, we want to offer a more intentional way for our members to share skills-related best practices and tools that come out of their chapter, professional, or other community experiences, while also connecting them to professional development resources from the broader social change community.

We've suggested some ways that people can participate in the campaign, but we're also inviting local chapters (or individuals from local chapters) to co-design and co-lead with us on components that they find particularly interesting. We're constantly inspired by the energy, talent, and creativity that's bubbling up among the local chapters, and see the MC MaL campaign as an opportunity to strengthen connections with and across local chapters and amplify our collective voice.

Some chapters might be getting ready to plan for 2015. You can use the MC MaL national campaign calendar (see below) to help organize some of your local programming. Other chapters might have already planned for 2015. For example, maybe your chapter has decided to pay special attention to social justice issues next year. March is Social Justice and Racial Analysis month for the MC MaL campaign. Maybe your chapter wants to organize a Social Justice blog series? Or maybe you (or someone in your chapter) is especially interested in social media. Let's plan a Twitter party! The possibilities and opportunities to engage are based on what interests you! This is a great opportunity to build community within your chapter, with other chapters, and with our broader network. It's a great opportunity for chapter members to develop and practice different leadership skills. You will also work closely with EPIP National staff and have the opportunity to raise your visibility by taking a leadership role on a national campaign.

If you or your chapter might want to co-design or co-lead part of the MC MaL campaign, fill out the survey and we'll be in touch! (You can also forward this survey to other members of your local chapter)
