TAP students meet at The Pottery Studio or Sewing Studio where they gain hands-on work experience by meeting and working directly with resident and visiting artists. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to engage with a working artist that provides a diverse repertoire of skills to add to their future high school, college and work submissions. TAP is a year-round program that meets weekly during the school year. Students should plan to attend every week the program is in session. If a student has 3 unexcused absences they will be dismissed from the program.
The expectation is that each Teen Apprentice will work one Saturday each season: Twice in the Fall, Once in the Winter & Once in the Spring, times: noon-6pm. Students should bring a sack lunch and water bottle when volunteering. Once your child has been accepted to the program we will send a separate form to fill out for volunteer Saturday volunteer days.
