Proposed Amendments to the Australian Fish Names Standard January 2018
Submissions will not be accepted after 14 March 2018
The FRDC Fish Names Committee invites feedback from interested stakeholders regarding 20 proposed amendments to the Australian Fish Names Standard following the last FNC meeting (FNC 32). These proposed amendments include both addition of Standard Fish Names and amendments to existing species names.
FRDC is an accredited Standards Development Organisation and as per international standards setting practices, a public consultation process of a minimum of ten weeks is being conducted. Your feedback will assist the Fish Names Committee to ensure that the agreed names are in the best interests of stakeholders.
Public consultation is a key part of the Australian Fish Names Standard process. The Fish Names Committee uses your feedback to determine whether there is widespread support for a proposed name
