The PTA Equity Team invites you to participate in the last of three Meetings on the Bridge.

Join us in community to learn tips about having Difficult Conversations with Kids facilitated by parent educator and Emerson parent Henriette Ako-Asare

Dates: Thursday, December 12, 2024
Times: 5:30-7:30pm. Dinner begins at 5:30pm; Workshop starts at 6:00pm. 
Location: Emerson Elementary; Library Room 

This event is open to parents, caregivers, educators, and staff. Food and childcare* will be provided. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. *Childcare is limited to Emerson students.

Meeting on the Bridge Workshops are designed to assist communities in the mission of fostering cross-cultural dialogue for the purpose of creating a school environment where every student’s culture is known, respected, valued, appreciated, and used to provide access. Communities hosting these events are those where educators and families are working as collaborators toward academic success of all children. This collaboration is positively promoted through respect, care, trust, inclusiveness, empowerment, and commitment to collective responsibility.
