In recent times, Eastern Bay of Plenty organisations have been struggling to find enough local volunteers. They need volunteers for a variety of reasons. Some require support with operating the organisation, while others need volunteers for specific projects or programmes.  At the same time, there are more and more community minded people who can no longer offer long term volunteering commitments... but still want to do what they can to support the charities that do great things in our community.

With that in mind, we are building a network of volunteers available to support local organisations on a 'as needed' basis.

As a TENT Community Volunteer you will be provided with information on current charitable organisations and projects that require support and then you can choose whether or not to respond.  You do not have to become a long term volunteer for one organisation and you can even remain anonymous to the organisation that you are helping if you are providing financial or professional support that does not require hands-on volunteering.
